A Sarasota native with two children, Nick Perez first came to us as a parent. After observing the collaborative process at Windsor Law, he decided he wanted to join our team. Nick has a passion for advocating for mental health awareness and for children. This is why he wanted to be a part of helping families as an advocate.
Nick is a 15-year Navy veteran who worked as a medic. He brings a wealth of medical and mental-health knowledge, leadership experience, and attention to detail. His experience combined with his passion for helping others make him an ideal advocate and member of our team.
Nick is completing a yearlong training in Special Education Advocacy through the Council of Parents and Attorney Advocates (COPAA) and has studied business through American Public University.
He enjoys living a life of wellness through embodied practices of yoga and meditation.
Nick along with Administrative Assistant - Amy Lanman are the first to welcome potential new clients to Windsor Law as they walk them through the intake process, scheduling and preparing them for advisory consultations. Nick can also serve as a non-attorney advocate under the direction of attorney Windsor with existing clients as needed attending 504 and IEP meetings.
Nick is proficient in assisting attorney Windsor drafting Gebser letters, Office for Civil Rights Complaints, and State Complaints.
His "WHY" for this practice is to "help obtain what students need so they can move from a negative place to a positive one that will ripple across society".
